CAVALOK CAVITY CLOSURE SYSTEM

A new version has been built on the success of the MK I system and is certainly the fastest growing product of its type in the UK and probably the most widely used.

With the advent of the new part L of regulations, Cavalok set out to ensure that the product exceeded any industry requirements. To achieve this, a report was commissioned from the BRE to look at the proposed designs and capabilities of Cavalok before being passed to the BBA for ratification. It is widely known in the trade that there are varying claims for cavity closures and their ability to achieve the Part L specification. Cavalok felt it was important to focus on our own system and not others, and therefore asked the BRE to determine the credibility of Cavalok.

Cavalok is now able to offer a comprehensive range of products, which allows greater ease of use. By providing a complete system, covering the cavity closure, head vent and now a bracing system along with all the fixtures and fittings, Cavalok continues to be a market leader in this sector of the building industry.

ROCKWOOL TCBS CAVITY BARRIER

As part of the comprehensive FirePro range of fire protection products, standard TCB Cavity Barrier comprises a strip of Rockwool inserted into a translucent red polyethylene sleeve incorporating two flanges designed for fixing. The sleeve eliminates the need for weather protection during installation and is overprinted with fixing instructions for ease of use. (Non-standard sizes have a single flange only.)

Rockwool TCB is used to provide a 1⁄2 hour cavity barrier as defined in table A1 of appendix A to Approved Document B of the Building Regulations 1991 (2000 Edition.)

CROWN DRITHERM

Thermal Insulation of Walls - Full and Partial Fill Applications

Crown DriTherm Cavity Slabs are semi-rigid or rigid slabs of non-combustible, glass mineral wool with a water-repellent additive. They are 455mm wide to suit standard vertical wall tie spacings, ensuring a closed joint with adjacent slabs.

Crown DriTherm Cavity Slabs have a special additive to make the product water repellent and are produced in several grades:
Crown DriTherm Cavity Slab has a thermal conductivity ranging from 0.035 to 0.037 W/mK – see Product Data Table
Crown DriTherm Cavity Slab 34 has a thermal conductivity of 0.034 W/mK
Crown DriTherm Cavity Slab 32 has a thermal conductivity of 0.032 W/mK

CELOTEX CW 3000 CAVITY INSULATION

Ridig polyisocyanurate foam board with glassfibre, manufactured using zero ozone depletion (ODP) blowing agents with low global warming potential (GWP) & low emissivity aluminium foil facings both sides.
